The CREW inter-comparison and validation software is an object oriented IDL code. The code was developed for

  • IDL version 8.0 or newer. (Usage of older IDL versions will need some modifications of the code.)

It was tested with several Linux/Unix systems. It was handy to install following programs:

  • convert
  • xv
  • ghost view

The CREW software alone is able to inter-compare the SEVIRI algorithms of CREW. The comparison with the ATRAIN measurements is archived together with the AVACS software provided by EUMETSAT.
