Data release announcement Megha-Tropiques SAPHIR Level-1 data now available July 2012
Starting July 6, 2012, SAPHIR Level-1 data (MT1SAPSL1A “dump-wise” products) are routinely transmitted to the ICARE Data and Services Center from the Indian mission center ISSDC. The software used to produce the Level-1 data has been validated by CNES and ISRO. In accordance with the agreement signed by CNES and ISRO, access to these early data sets is restricted to the French and Indian mission teams and to scientists selected through the 2009 Megha-Tropiques International announcement of opportunity during a 6-month period. During this period, CNES, ISRO and the science team will continue their calibration and validation effort. So far the products are provisional and the calibration (radiometric and geometric) is only tentative.
